The Workplace Model

The six emotionally intelligent workplace competencies are in the center. Lesser demonstration of the competencies creates unproductive behavior and outcomes while great demonstration creates productive behavior and outcomes.

This is an image of The Genos Emotional Intelligence Workplace model. The six emotionally intelligent workplace competencies are in the center. Lesser demonstration of the competencies creates unproductive behavior and outcomes while great demonstration creates productive behavior and outcomes.

As an example, developing the competency of Self-Awareness can lift someone from a disconnected state, and enable them to behave in a way that is more present, which is productive. People who are more present are more aware of the role their feelings are playing in their decisions, behavior and performance.

By using Genos assessments, participants identify and craft custom action plans to transform from unproductive states to productive states.

The Leadership Model

The Genos model of emotionally intelligent leadership competencies is shown below. You see unproductive emotional states on the left, and productive emotional states on the right. In the center stand the emotional intelligence competencies that influence transition fro unproductive to productive states.

Core emotional intelligence competencies

This is an image of the Leadership model of Emotional Intelligence. it outlines the 6 Leadership competencies, which are, Self Awareness, Awareness of Others, Authenticity, Emotional Reasoning, Self Management, and Inspiring Performance.

For instance, Inspiring Performance is important in leadership because leadership is fundamentally about facilitating the performance of others. Managing performance with emotional indifference, rules and key performance indicators usually produces an ‘expected’, result, rather than an ‘unexpected’ high performance result. Managing with Inspiring Performance empowers employees to continuously perform at a high level year-over-year.

Assessment results and competency-specific, behaviorally-oriented interview questions are included in the report.
